How can you inject two different colors in the same part?
I wonder if's there a special machine that you need to purchase to inject in a different color the same part.
Or maybe need a special type of platen which must rotate?

Yes they make machines to do specifically two shot molding. There are varying methods to do it depending on the part.

Currently, there are many solutions with 2 or 3 or more different color. Convensional machine can not realize this action. Sometimes you need purchase additional nozzles to extend the function of your machine. or you also can deploy 2 machins and 1 robert arm in the middle to implement the over-mold process, in this case, you can get 1 part with 2 colors. It depends. solutions for you reference. rotary table, index tool, or 2 sets 1k machine with over-molding. Hope this can help you.

Really now days there are options that never existed before. You can purchase an all electric add on barrel from Plasdan, Mold Masters, and others. Then you have to integrate it into your current machine and build the molds for it. But I’ve also seen color feeders that can dose the first resin with one color and the rear with another. It really depends on the end product and budget.

Yeah, it sounds very interesting. While the injection machine should be a different type, it sounds a kind of stack mould?
Thanks for reply.
