How Snap beads / pop beads are made
Hi guys,
Do any of you know how these products are made? I've done some research and found that they can be injection molded but how do you injection mold the cavity and then release the part from the mold?
Thanks for help.

The external features are simple enough, the internal snap feature is probably done with a slide and horn pin. I would guess that the parts are still warm enough at mold open that the steel would just pop out of the plastic, leaving the hole snap in feature. As the part cools out side of the mold it would continue to shrink a little allowing the hole to get back into "spec". You might be able to do this with a stripper plate as well.
Those would be my guesses.

Husky is on the right track but I think you will still need a slide to make the center hole or then to make the sides.
